How do I read the digital version of your print magazine?

Game Informer is available to read digitally on the iOS App Store , Google Play , and on PC or Mac .

Game Informer is also available on Nook Newsstand, and Kindle Newsstand. The content is a replica of our print magazine, but is a separate product. We are currently unable to merge your subscriber account for these editions.

International readers can purchase individual issues or a one year subscription in our Android or iOS apps.

Who can read Game Informer digital edition?

Current US subscribers can access all issues digitally. You can find more information about subscribing here .

  1. Check your junk and spam folders. Subscription emails are sometimes routed there accidentally
  2. Add gameinformer-digital@gameinformer.com to your Contacts list
  3. Ensure the email you're checking is the same email address you subscribed with

I don't see an older issue in the digital edition

Older Game Informer issues may not be available to read digitally. Issues prior to November 2016 are not available in the mobile edition. Issues prior to July 2012 are not available in the tablet edition. Issues prior to June 2011 are not available in the PC/Mac edition.

I have a HD tablet. Why does the content appear soft?

High-definition magazine issues became available in August 2016. Issues prior to August 2016 are published in regular resolution, not HD, so when the content is scaled it appears soft.

I have a Nook HD+ tablet, does Game Informer support it?

As of July 8, 2013, we no longer officially support the Nook HD+ tablet. However, you can still install and run the app at your own discretion.

I have a current subscription, but the app is asking me to purchase issues

  1. Visit your Subscription Management page to verify your subscription is connected to your gameinformer.com user account.
  2. Open the app and navigate to the My Account menu item.
  3. Enter your gameinformer.com website username and password.
    If you have forgotten your username or password, visit gameinformer.com/user/password

If you are having trouble loading the log in page, please delete and re-install the app to ensure the log in page is up-to-date.

How do I delete a downloaded issue?

  1. Launch the app and navigate to the Issue Library
  2. Tap on "Remove issues?" under the gear icon. You may be asked for your login credentials
  3. Select the downloaded issues you would like to delete

How do I access the on-screen menu in the app?

Press and hold your finger on the screen. Menu options will appear on the bottom of your iPad or on the left side of your iPhone.

I have an iPhone XR/iPhone XS Max, and there are no issues in the library?

You must disable "zoom" mode on your display.

The app crashes when I try to download or read an issue

  1. Power down your device and reboot
  2. Make sure there is at least 2GB of free space on your device
  3. If this does not resolve the issue, remove and re-download the issue
  4. If the issue still persists, delete and reinstall the app, as the application data may be corrupt

I have an in-app subscription, so why aren't new issues appearing in the library?

  1. Check that you've updated the Game Informer app to the latest version
  2. Launch the app, navigate to the Issue Library, and tap on "Missing issues?" under the gear icon. You may be asked for your login credentials
  3. If you do not see new issues in the library, force quit the Game Informer app ( view instructions )
  4. Turn off your device, power it up, and relaunch the Game Informer app. Perform step 2 again

I am stuck on "Loading..."

Usually this happens when your Wi-Fi reception is poor. If your internet connection is strong and you are still are stuck on "Loading..." try the following:

  1. Force quit the Game Informer app ( view instructions )
  2. Turn off your device and power it back up
  3. Relaunch the Game Informer app and re-download the issue
  4. If this does not resolve the issue, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the Game Informer app

Can I download issues in the background?

The Game Informer iOS app supports background downloading; however, if the Wi-Fi connection is interrupted during download you may have to re-download the issue.

What is the latest release of the iOS app?

The latest version is 3.3. It was released on 09/23/2019.

Which iPad/iPhone devices does Game Informer support?

The Game Informer Digital app is available on iPad 2 and higher for tablets running iOS 8 or newer. iPhone 5 and higher for smartphones running iOS 8 or newer.

If you are having trouble loading the log in page, clear the app's data and cache to ensure the log in page is up-to-date. Deleting and re-installing the app may not clear the cache.

When I try to download an issue, it doesn't finish downloading

If you're having trouble downloading an issue, try the following:

  1. If you are using DNS changer/switcher or VPN , disable it. The app cannot download issues when it is enabled
  2. Check your internet connection. If your connection is weak and the signal is lost during download, you will have to download the issue again
  3. Make sure you have at least 3GB of free storage on your device
  4. If you are using external storage, move the app and data to internal storage. The app runs more reliably if the app and data are using internal storage
  5. Clear the application's data and cache in the Android Settings menu, then re-launch the app
  6. After beginning to download an issue, keep the app in the foreground until the download is complete

I can access the menu, but do not see anything in the store or issue library

  1. Check your internet connection. If your connection is weak and the signal is lost during download, you will have to download the issue again
  2. Clear the application's data and cache in the Android Settings menu, then re-launch the app

How do I remove issues from the app?

  1. Go to the "Issues" page and tap the "Remove Issues" button on the upper left
  2. Tap and select the issues you want to remove, then tap on the trash icon in the upper right corner
  3. Press "OK" to confirm

Does the Game Informer Android app support downloading in the background?

The Game Informer Android app supports background downloading; however, you must ensure that the app is allowed to run in the background when the device goes to sleep. Settings vary between devices; please refer to your device's user guide.

Does the Game Informer Android app support offline reading?

The Game Informer Android app has partial support for offline reading. Downloaded issues are accessible offline, however some content and features that require online access will not be available.

To read downloaded issues offline, please make sure you have disabled Wi-Fi. You also need to close the app and restart it so it is aware you are offline. Then navigate to "Issues > My Issue" to read your downloaded issues.

The latest version is 3.5. It was released on 10/27/2020.

What Android devices does Game Informer support?

The Game Informer Android app will run on any Android tablet or smartphone running Android OS 4.0 or higher.

  1. Log out of your Game Informer account, clear your browser's cookies and cache, and log back in
